Bio Objectivism

My philosophy of Bio-objectivism is largely just an extension of Ann Rands famous Objectivism; but is my own invention. In fact Bio-Objectivism is 80-90% just Ann Rands producer non producer concept. But the differences are dramatic on several important points. Rand would completely disagree!!
The full discussion of Rand’s Objectivism is lengthy and outside the scope of this blog. Read Atlas Shrugged, Fountain Head and you can get the basic concepts.
I believe that Ann Rand misses the mark in important ways. She forgets Biology. I find that error common among philosophers and common among narcissistic humans in general.
I will be blogging about the mirror image concept of Biological Communism that has been all the rage for the last 25 years – but again this mirror image has the same shortcoming. In both Rand’s Objectivism and in Biological Communism, Biology somehow is forgotten; or maybe it was never included in their education. Difficult for me to pin-point the source of these shortcomings – but they shine bright once you know what to look for. I’ll focus on this concept in a separate blog – but for now, I’ll return to the core idea’s of my Bio-Objectivism philosophy.
Why so many intelligent people forget they are biological animals is amazing to me. Why they lie – to themselves and others; Why they jump from one sky-is-falling belief to the next. Amazing.
Interestingly, the group of people who live by an opposite behavior pattern also can be found - these people only live in the Biological animal world. These people put the chase of fun for-most. Living for the moment. Pleasure in food, drugs, alcohol, narrow scopes of thought and hobby. Sometimes the source of these biological urges and tendencies can be pinpointed to genetic markers. Other times only the phycology impact of environmental experience can account for this behavior. In any case, they ignore logic and Objectivism entirely, and are driven 100% by basic biology.
Both life strategies are flawed. Find the middle. Find your place in the tribe, produce, leave a legacy. Leave the world a better place for your existence.
But back to my philosophy of Bio Objectivism. One important tenet of Biology is the ideas of Religion - a concept utterly rejected by Rand. For me Religion is a natural outcome of biology, part of our culture. Social biology yes - but still biology. Human Behavior links to our culture and our culture links to our genetics (see my blog on cultural DNA). To oppose all religion is not helping mankind, and a rejection of genetics in general.
As well, humans have also successfully used Religion to move mankind forward. Furthering education, literacy, self-sufficiency. Sadly at times Religion has been used by evil to control and steal from the masses, or even rape and murder the masses. But those actions are not Religion- just a narcissistic human masquerading in the cloak of religion.
Bio-Objectivism also includes in the concept of altruism; also rejected by Rand and Pure Objectivism. Humans have evolved to include the productive and useful group altruism concept. Cave man concepts and evolutionary genetics apply here, but that’s for another blog. John Galt’s Atlantis Utopia sounds great until it is put to the test. Yes, he succeeded but at what cost? (read my blog on Singapore for more on this idea).
I believe the strong must carry the weak. It’s the responsibility of 1:20 to do more than his share. To carry their brother. That doesn’t mean the 1 does the heavy lifting for free - he should be rewarded appropriately. Capitalism is a cornerstone of Objectivism and the Producer concepts. My philosophy of 1 in 20 is a topic for a separate lengthy treatise paper - and is my attempt at understanding how all our varied behaviors. One day I’ll finish that beast.!!!
But…the harsh finality of Atlas Shrugged and John Galt bring down the world is not considering Biology. Even an incapable human can in theory carry critical genetic information that when passed to future generations saves the planet. Biology is real. Ann Rand misses this point.
Yes, my short blog here on Bio-Objectivism may leave you with more questions. Future Blog’s about my 1:20 Unifying Behavior theories, blogs on Biological Communism, blogs of cave-man genetics are needed to fill in the gap. But slowly, maybe I’ll get these idea’s together as one. Hopefully it has given you something to think about.
Bio-Objectivism differ’s from Ann Rand’s theories in other area’s also. Although my concepts align with the Ann Rand’s capitalism beliefs. But Rand’s economic theories in details don’t add up. Sticking to the Gold-standard for example does not work in modern times. Other minor Bio-Objectivism details vary from Ann Rand’s Objectivism of-course …. But we all stand on the shoulders of other great men…and in the case of Bio-Objectivism…on the shoulders of a great woman and her amazing books.
